Chat with an AI assistant that runs on your own devices
Made by openclaw
View profile on GitHub (opens in a new tab)OpenClaw is an open-source personal AI assistant that runs on your own computer and talks to you through the apps you already use — WhatsApp, iMessage, Discord, Telegram, Slack and twenty-plus others, with native apps for every platform.
Because it lives on your hardware, your conversation history, memory and passwords stay with you; the AI models underneath (Claude, Codex, or a local model) plug in like interchangeable parts. Setup is one install command on Mac, Windows or Linux, and a nonprofit foundation stewards the project with no paid tier. The project says it phones home for nothing but a daily version check, with anonymous statistics you can switch off.

Worth knowing You still supply and pay for the underlying AI model it talks to. An assistant with access to your chats and files is powerful — a misconfigured permission can do real damage, so review what you grant it. BuildTube has not run or verified this software.
