Let a coding agent use the browser you are already signed into
Made by Tencent
View profile on GitHub (opens in a new tab)A command-line tool and browser extension that connect an AI coding agent to your everyday browser, so it can work on sites you are already logged into instead of needing its own test accounts.
The agent has to borrow a tab explicitly and hand it back when it is done, and the project says the rest of your browser is left alone. Tencent lists Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and several other agents as supported.
You could use it to…
- Let your coding agent work inside a site you're already signed into
- Hand a tab to an agent and get it back when the task is done
- Skip creating throwaway test accounts for your agent
Can I use this?
You'll need A desktop browser and an AI agent that can run shell commands · Setup needed
Worth knowing This gives an AI agent the run of a browser carrying your real sessions, which is exactly the point and also the risk: anything you are signed into, it can reach. Which agents work well is the project’s own list. BuildTube has not run or verified this software.
