Let an AI model design app screens, safely, from a fixed parts list
Made by Vercel Labs
View profile on GitHub (opens in a new tab)json-render is a programming toolkit (framework) for "generative UI": instead of letting a model write arbitrary code for a screen, you give it a fixed catalog of components it is allowed to use, and it returns structured JSON describing which ones to show and how, which the framework then renders.
Because the model can only pick from components you defined, the output is guardrailed and predictable rather than a fresh piece of code every time, and it can stream in progressively as the model responds. The same catalog can render to React, Vue, Svelte, React Native, and other targets including PDFs and 3D scenes.
You could use it to…
- Let an AI model design app screens from a fixed parts list
- Stream a generated interface in as the model responds
- Render the same generated UI to React, Vue or PDF
Can I use this?
You'll need Node.js, a JavaScript framework, and some coding · Setup needed
Worth knowing This is a developer library, not an end-user app — using it means defining a component catalog and wiring up a model yourself. Its output quality still depends on the model you connect and how well your catalog covers what users ask for. Apache-2.0 licence. BuildTube has not run or verified this software.
