Run development environments, and coding agents, on your own servers
Made by Coder
View profile on GitHub (opens in a new tab)A self-hosted platform that gives each developer a workspace running on infrastructure you control — a cloud virtual machine, a Kubernetes pod, a Docker container — described in Terraform so the setup is written down rather than assembled by hand.
Workspaces connect over an encrypted tunnel and shut themselves down when idle. It also runs AI coding agents, with the agent loop executing on your side and, the project says, no model keys inside the workspaces.
You could use it to…
- Give a new hire a ready workspace instead of two setup days
- Run agents on your own infrastructure, no keys inside
- Shut a workspace down automatically when it's idle
Can I use this?
You'll need Servers or a cloud account you administer · Substantial setup
Worth knowing This is infrastructure: somebody has to run and maintain it, and the Terraform templates are the part you own. It is AGPL-3.0, with some features held back for a paid Premium tier. The claim that no API keys reach the workspaces is the project’s description of its own design. BuildTube has not run or verified this software.
