Install a roster of specialist AI personas into your coding tool
Made by Michael Sitarzewski
View profile on GitHub (opens in a new tab)A collection of ready-made AI personas: written instruction files (a persona is a character sheet that tells an AI how to behave) for specialists such as a front-end developer, a community writer, or someone who reality-checks your plan.
You would want one when a general-purpose assistant gives vague answers and you would rather it work like a particular expert. Each file sets out an identity, a mission, the workflows it follows, the deliverables it produces and how it measures success. A native app for macOS, Linux and Windows browses the roster and installs your picks into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode and others, keeping them updated.
You could use it to…
- Install a front-end specialist persona into your coding tool
- Add a sceptic that reality-checks your plan before you build
- Browse a roster of AI personas and install picks with a click
Can I use this?
You'll need A coding tool that supports agents or custom instructions · Setup needed
Worth knowing A persona changes how an agent approaches a task and what it produces; it does not give the agent knowledge or skill it did not have. The personality framing is part of the appeal and also the main risk — a confident specialist voice can make a weak answer sound authoritative. How well any of them works depends on which coding tool you load them into. MIT license. BuildTube has not run or verified this software.
